Alexandria, Va. – December 17, 2024 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Mr. Kevin Sligh, SES (Ret.) has joined its firm. Mr. Sligh delivers exceptional expertise in disaster, emergency, and crisis management arenas and in the energy sector with his significant expertise in offshore renewable energy and conventional energy spaces.

Prior to joining TSG, Mr. Sligh served as the Director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) for the Department of the Interior (DOI), where he led its conventional energy and offshore wind market business. Previously, he served as the Regional Administrator (Acting) and as the Deputy Regional Administrator for Region 5 of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), leading FEMA’s provision of $6B in Stafford Act funding to disaster survivors, states, and localities. Mr. Sligh also previously served as the Deputy of the Coast Guard’s Office of Marine Environmental Response at the headquarters of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). Earlier, he was Director for Response Policy for the National Security Council at the White House, shaping national response and recovery efforts for hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria and facilitating federal interagency cross-functional teams. Mr. Sligh served a 24-year U.S. Navy and USCG career, including 10 years as a commissioned officer, deploying multiple times in senior leadership roles to support the USCG’s Deepwater Horizon response and to hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, and Michael.
