PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Captain Hannah supports clients in safety and security domains, especially planning, response, and management regarding homeland security threats, environmental safety issues, natural and man-made disasters, and related challenges. He delivers significant expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs), risk and business impact assessments, and emergency response plans. Captain Hannah’s unique experience spans pandemic/quarantine preparedness and response; nuclear-focused homeland security; cyber threats and attacks; global supply chain security; oil and gas maritime security and environmental disaster mitigation and response; and related global ecological, security, and defense planning and response domains.
Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), Captain Hannah served a 26-year U.S. Coast Guard career, culminating in his serving as Senior Director of the PAC-5 Preparedness Division for USCG Pacific Area, and as Senior Director (Commanding Officer) of the USCG Pacific Strike Team. He was previously detailed to the White House as the USCG Military Aide to the Vice President. In these roles and others, Captain Hannah led responses to incidents arising from natural and man-made disasters, led multiagency and partner coordination for response and recovery operations, and collaborated with external entities on incident response plans and training to strengthen joint readiness.
In addition to his work at TSG, Captain Hannah serves as the West Coast Program Manager for Forefront Emergency Management, focusing on preventing, detecting, and responding to environmental disasters.
