McAlester Defense: New Leaders, Funding for TSG Client

McAlester, Oklahoma – McAlester Defense Support Services (MDSS), a client of The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), elected Keven Priddle as its new president and secured funding for a portion of its FY2017-2018 budget.

MDSS supports the promotion of the local defense industry, including the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP), the U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center on the MCAAP grounds, Choctaw Defense, and the Chickasaw Nation’s military division.

The SPECTRUM Group’s Defense & Aerospace COE, Army Team, and BRAC Team, among others, are proud to continue our long-term support of MDSS and its important mission.

Oklahoma’s Military Defense Support Association, an organization that also contributes to funding MDSS, originally created MDSS. The regionally-focused defense industry formed both groups to help promote and speak for the entities that comprise it.

The MDSS’s budget is focused on three key areas in the year ahead:

• MDSS operational areas
• The annual McAlester Stampede, a lobbying trip where local officials and businesspersons meet with Congressional and Pentagon officials in Washington, D.C.
• The MDSS’ work with The SPECTRUM Group, which has previously included conducting studies and research, as well as facilitating contacts for the client.
