Rear Admiral Tom Druggan, U.S. Navy (Ret.) Joins The SPECTRUM Group

Alexandria, Va. – July 22, 2024 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Rear Admiral Tom Druggan, U.S. Navy (Ret.) has joined its firm. Admiral Druggan delivers decades of experience in major U.S. Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) technical programs, with strong expertise in integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) systems for the U.S. and its partner nations. He has significant expertise in contracting and acquisition, including large weapon systems, software-intensive development, and multi-year weapon procurements.

“TSG is fortunate to have Tom join our team,” said TSG’s President, Major General George Close, U.S. Army (Ret.). “The expertise he brings from his distinguished service, including his program executive and program manager leadership of Aegis missile defense and related integrated warfare systems, as well as his experience as Commander of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), will greatly enhance TSG’s Naval & Missile Defense and International practice area capabilities.”

Prior to joining TSG, Admiral Druggan served a 33-year U.S. Navy career, culminating in serving as the Program Executive for Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (Aegis BMD) at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), where he led $3B-plus in FMS and delivered major capability advances in complex missile systems and system-of-system integration. Earlier, Admiral Druggan served as Commander, NWSC NAVSEA and as Major Program Manager for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 1.0 and 1.0F) where he led the program lifecycle of the Aegis combat system for more than 80 ships. He also previously served as Special Assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and Vice CNO, and was a founding member of Navy Operations Group DEEP BLUE.
