Alexandria, Va. – February 27, 2025 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Mr. Mark Nichols has joined its firm. Mr. Nichols delivers expert support to clients in European and multinational endeavors, nuclear power, energy and infrastructure projects, and national security domains, leveraging his senior leadership background in the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and in the private sector.

Prior to joining TSG, Mr. Nichols led the Energy, Defense, and Commodities Divisions at Wesley K. Clark & Associates, supporting clients in oil and gas, wind power, cyber security, defense interoperability, communications, electric vehicle manufacturing, biometrics, investment banking, and commodities. Previously, he served as Vice President and Treasurer of the presidential campaign of General Wesley Clark, U.S. Army (Ret.).

During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Nichols served as Senior Advisor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for European Affairs at the State Department, where he coordinated key summits and the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe, a multi-billion-dollar U.S.-E.U. program to rebuild the region after the wars in Bosnia and Kosovo. Earlier, he managed programs in the Caucasus and Central Asia in the Office of Emergency and Humanitarian Assistance in the USAID Bureau for Europe and the New Independent States.
Mr. Nichols serves on the Boards of Directors of The Stimson Center and Renew America Together, and previously served as a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
