Alexandria, Va. – February 19, 2025 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Mr. David Eikelberg has joined its firm. Mr. Eikelberg delivers more than 20 years of experience supporting clients in supports clients in advanced nuclear regulatory compliance, safety, licensing, and related domains, drawing on his extensive nuclear energy and facility regulatory, management, licensing, and operations background.

Prior to joining TSG, Mr. Eikelberg served a 19-year career in nuclear licensing and regulatory compliance at the Department of Energy (DOE) Transuranic Waste Processing Center in Oak Ridge, where he led nuclear licensing research and development, program management, capture efforts for the $3B DOE Savannah River Site contract, and compliance programs and policies throughout the DOE complex. He also led DOE contracting and nuclear operations, including developing licensing documents and analytics for existing nuclear facilities, nuclear infrastructure management, nuclear safeguards, decontamination and decommissioning, waste storage, environmental management, risk reduction, and hazardous waste disposal.

Mr. Eikelberg is experienced with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), DOE, Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Navy, and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) requirements and processes, and has worked with and for numerous naval and conventional nuclear power operations and facilities. He also previously supported, refueling, maintenance, and licensing for twelve NRC-licensed commercial nuclear power plants. Earlier, Mr. Eikelberg worked in roles supporting DOD and U.S. Navy nuclear power and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) programs.
