Ms. Evelyn Suarez, Esq., a Member of The Spectrum Group’s International Team and Homeland Security Team, will serve as a moderator at an event entitled “The Global Trade Agenda for the 45th President” at the George Washington University on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. The discussion will cover topics such as micro and macro-economic impacts of trade, benefits of global trade for small and medium business, trade-adjustment assistance and workforce training and retraining.
Ms. Suarez, who also serves as president of the Women in International Trade Association (WIIT), will be moderating the first panel “Why Trade Matters”, with guests John Reinhart, CEO & Executive Director, Port of Virginia; Julie Stitzel, Senior Manager-Federal Advocacy & Policy, Etsy; Kazuhiro Suzuki, Minister for Economic Affairs, Embassy of Japan; and Ambassador Darci Vetter, Chief Agricultural Negotiator, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. A second panel “What Needs to Change?” will also take place.
