PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

General Abramson supports clients across the global defense industrial base, acquisition, and national security sectors, leveraging his more than three decades of executive leadership experience.

Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), General Abramson served as Vice President for Strategic Engagement at the National Armaments Consortium (NAC), a key consortium entity – with the Vertical Lift Consortium (VLC) – aligned with the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC), the Aviation and Missile Technology Consortium (AMTC), and the Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST) Program. He led engagement among government, industry, and Congressional leaders on defense industrial base and munitions innovation domains and helped manage NAC’s $2.5B annual award portfolio.

General Abramson’s more than 30-year U.S. Army career culminated in his serving as Commanding General and Program Executive Officer for Ammunition (PEO Ammunition) at Picatinny Arsenal, the Army’s Joint Center of Excellence for Lethality. As the DoD’s single manager for conventional ammunition, he oversaw the Army’s five ammunition plants and $4B annual budget, managed $800M in annual foreign military sales (FMS), and delivered 90% of the DoD’s conventional ammunition. Earlier, as Deputy Joint Program Executive Officer for Chemical and Biological Defense, General Abramson led a $2.6B annual budget and oversaw joint requirements, resources, and operations across DoD, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and allied partners. Previously, as Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of the Army, he advised on system acquisition, contracting, and modernization.
