PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Captain Personius supports clients with strategic engagement, management, and communications solutions, leveraging his broad and strong network across the Navy rotary wing, tilt wing, and UAV communities. He delivers significant expertise in Navy and Marine Corps rotary, tilt, and UAV domains, with more than 45 years of comprehensive leadership experience in Navy and associated private sector entities.

Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), Captain Personius led two California nonprofit organizations and provided Naval helicopter consulting services.

During his 30-year U.S. Navy career, Captain Personius served as a Naval aviator, flying several variants of helicopters from numerous surface ships and accumulating more than 5,000 flight hours. He also served as Deputy Director of the Navy Staff, where he directly supported the daily requirements of both the Chief and Vice Chief of Naval Operations (CNO and VCNO). Captain Personius served in several other leadership roles, including as Commanding Officer of the USS PELELIU (LHA-5), Commanding Officer of HC-3, the H-46 and MH-60S helicopter fleet training squadron, and Commanding Officer of HC-11, then the Navy’s largest fleet helicopter squadron.

In addition to his work at TSG, Captain Personius serves as President and CEO of the Naval Helicopter Association Historical Society.
