PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Admiral Kearney supports clients working in Navy and maritime arenas, applying his extensive senior government acquisition experience to deliver increased value to both clients and their customers. He provides substantial experience building mission-focused teams and successfully solving dynamic industry challenges. He is a Defense Acquisition Level 3 Program Manager.

Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group, Admiral Kearney served a 34-year career in the U.S. Navy, with leadership roles spanning the command of two nuclear submarines. He established a new NAVSEA directorate, the Directorate for Commonality, in which he led government and industry engagement efforts to streamline and improve coordination between the two entities. Previously, he served as Major Program Manager and Vice Commander at Naval Sea Systems Command. Admiral Kearney also served as manager for the National Shipbuilding Research Program, focusing on shipbuilding cost saving and process improvements in a consortium of five Navy Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and 11 U.S. shipbuilders.
