PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. McCue supports clients in directing high-value, technically-complex maritime programs and providing advisory on ship design, sustainment, emerging technologies, and business transformation, leveraging his more than 30 years of leadership experience in shipbuilding, naval operations, and global industry.
Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group, Mr. McCue served as Vice President, Fleet Sustainment at HII, leading U.S. Navy and partner nation readiness, modernization, and maintenance through foreign military sales (FMS), direct commercial sales (DCS), and AUKUS Integration Team support. At Austal USA, he served most recently as Vice President, Post-Delivery Services, directing delivery, sustainment, and support operations as well as leading ship repair and modernization of all Austal-built vessels globally. Earlier, as Vice President, Programs, he led new ship construction major program management, design, construction, delivery, and capture efforts.
At General Dynamics NASSCO, Mr. McCue served most recently as Vice President of Engineering, where he led engineering efforts in commercial new construction and Navy new construction, maintenance, and modernization. His team developed the first-of-class ships in the Mobile Landing Platform Program, including ESD and ESB, and supported concept design work for the Navy T-AO, LSD(X), and LHA(R) programs; on the commercial side, they developed the design for the world’s first LNG-powered container ship and, in conjunction with DSME, a series of ECO tankers. Previously, Mr. McCue served as Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning, where he developed global shipbuilding opportunities for NASSCO.
Mr. McCue’s U.S. Navy career included key operational, technical, and global liaison leadership roles, including serving as a NAVSEA Technical Liaison and Naval Attache to the U.K. and serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E), South West Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC).
