Rear Admiral Duke Heinz, U.S. Navy (Ret.) Joins The SPECTRUM Group

Alexandria, Va. – June 11, 2024 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Rear Admiral Duke Heinz, U.S. Navy (Ret.) has joined its firm. Admiral Heinz delivers an impressive background in Naval shipbuilding, logistics, supply, build, and repair domains, including complex multiagency and international partner operations, making him a valuable addition to TSG.

As the former Commander of Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support (WSS), he can assist our clients with valuable insights into Navy, Department of Defense, and partner support and supply” said TSG’s President, Major General George Close, U.S. Army (Ret.)

Admiral Heinz brings to TSG a strong background in international logistics, supply, and readiness, with significant NAVSUP domain expertise, adding new dimensions to TSG’s Naval & Missile Defense and International Center of Excellence capabilities. He previously served as Director of Logistics (J4) at U.S. European Command (EUCOM), facilitating the repatriation of 130,000 Afghan individuals through Europe to the U.S. Admiral Heinz also led the directorate in organizing and leading the 100-plus multiagency international coalition conducting 24/7 operations supporting the delivery of more than $50B security force assistance to Ukraine.

Earlier in his U.S. Navy career, Admiral Heinz served as Strategy and Readiness Division Chief for the Joint Chiefs of Staff (J4), as well as in numerous critical NAVSUP roles, including Commander, NAVSUP WSS; NAVSUP WSS Director of Aviation Operations; and as S-3 Integrated Weapons System Team Lead. Admiral Heinz also served as the Commanding Officer for NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Jacksonville, and led program objective development in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N80).
