PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Chaffiotte assists private and public sector clients in conducting U.S. and international business ventures and partnerships while managing risks and insurance considerations. He delivers 30-plus years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry, spanning commercial properties, environmental impairment and terrorism, corporate risk, and multinational business and
market risk considerations. He holds active property and casualty insurance brokerage licenses in Washington, D.C.

At The SPECTRUM Group, Mr. Chaffiotte advises multinational organizations in identifying and treating political, trade credit, structured credit, financial, and surety risk exposures that could impact company operations and business flows.

Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group, Mr. Chaffiotte served as Vice President of Risk Management and Business Development at Interlink Capital/ExWorks Capital Strategies, supporting clients including the United States Export Import Bank (EXIM), Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and the Multilateral Investment Guaranty Agency (MIGA). His work included market trade finance, working capital, and foreign buyer financing for U.S. companies operating globally, as well as risk analysis including currency, trade credit, geopolitical, economic, engineering, and human capital considerations. Mr. Chaffiotte also previously worked as a Corporate Risk Manager for First Fidelity Investment Corporation/ Beam Incorporated, where he managed the company’s captive insurance in Bermuda, purchased insurance and reinsurance from the worldwide insurance market, and led vulnerability detection and treatment for the organization.
