General Cox supports clients on engineering, energy, ground combat systems, installation management, and BRAC projects, drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience in U.S. and international military requirements and his in-depth understanding of the engineering and defense market. He delivers BRAC-related expertise, including in community engagement and public-private partnership development, for state, local, and community clients.
Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), General Cox served as Executive Director for a community-based office supporting the central Texas community and Fort Hood with local, state, and federal base defense efforts.
General Cox served a 36-year U.S. Army career, retiring as Deputy Commanding General of the 3rd U.S. Armored Corps. Previously, he served in several command roles for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), including as Deputy Commanding General for Military and International Operations; Commanding General, Transatlantic Division; and Commanding General, Southwest Division. General Cox’s work included Middle East, Southwest Asia, and EUCOM experience, battlefield experience from three combat tours, service in the Pentagon, and Joint and interagency programs. He developed substantial expertise in geopolitics, Army and Joint operations, contingency base development, city management, interagency operations, and operational energy.
