PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Colonel Deimel supports U.S. and international clients in a range of professional requirements and strategic efforts, drawing on his extensive experience as a strategist, planner, project manager, and advisor.

Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group, Colonel Deimel served as a senior strategist and planner for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and as a Department Chair of the National War College, where he also served as an instructor in European security. In these roles, he educated and supported U.S. government civilian and military executives in understanding U.S. policy and in negotiation, strategy design and implementation, and conflict resolution.

Colonel Deimel served in numerous training, evaluation, and advisory roles during his 24-year U.S. Army career. In both Joint and NATO roles, he supported U.S. and foreign military leaders and entities with external evaluation of organizational planning, operations, information management systems, and logistical support. His work also included designing and implementing organizational and individual leader development programs, and coordinating international civilian-military organization advisory efforts in support of foreign institutions.

Colonel Deimel also supports clients in European military affairs domains by leveraging his experience as the supervisor of a regional portfolio of 14 European countries, a role in which he negotiated national agreements and for which he received the U.S. Army Douglas MacArthur Award for Leadership Excellence.
