PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Admiral Heinz supports clients working in U.S. Navy and shipbuilding industrial base (SIB) arenas, leveraging his strong expertise in naval logistics, supply, and build and repair domains.
Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group, Admiral Heinz served a 34-year U.S. Navy career, culminating in serving as Director of Logistics (J4) at U.S. European Command (EUCOM). There, he led his directorate in facilitating the repatriation of 130,000 Afghan individuals through Europe to the U.S. Admiral Heinz also led the directorate in organizing and leading the 100-plus multiagency international coalition conducting 24/7 operations supporting the delivery of more than $50B security force assistance and aid to Ukraine.
Admiral Heinz served as the Strategy and Readiness Division Chief for the Joint Chiefs of Staff J4, as well as in numerous critical Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) roles. He served as Commander, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), after earlier serving as NAVSUP WSS Director of Aviation Operations and as S-3 Integrated Weapons System Team Lead. Admiral Heinz also served as the Commanding Officer for NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Jacksonville. Previously, he led program objective development in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N80), and served as the supply officer for Navy Flight Demonstration Team Blue Angels. Admiral Heinz’s operational assignments included tours on USS BERGALL (SSN 667), USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), and USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) spanning Operations Desert Fox, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.
