
General Hamilton, a highly accomplished logistics, U.S. Army, and Department of Defense (DoD) leader, supports clients with his deep expertise in navigating and achieving objectives in market access, global logistics integration, and enterprise transformation strategy domains.
Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), General Hamilton served a more than 40-year U.S. Army career, culminating in his serving as Commanding General of Army Materiel Command (AMC). Leading the DoD’s largest logistics organization, a $100B enterprise supporting 190,000 personnel nationwide and in more than 150 countries, he advanced the Army’s global readiness across supply chain, industrial base modernization, and predictive sustainment domains. A seasoned operational commander, General Hamilton earlier served in multiple key leadership roles, including as Director of Operations (G-43/5/7), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (G-4); Commanding General of the 8th Theater Sustainment Command; and Commander, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Troop Support. He directed global contingency logistics, supported critical foreign military sales (FMS), and led transformative infrastructure investment initiatives across the defense enterprise. He served on many DoD boards, including the Army Air Force Exchange, the Army Board of Directors, and as Chairman of the Defense Commissary Agency.
Outside of TSG, General Hamilton is a trusted national security and geopolitical media commentator, delivering strategic analysis on conflicts involving Russia, Israel, and global power competition.
