Alexandria, Va. – October 11, 2023 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Colonel Timothy “Tim” Faulkner, U.S. Army (Ret.) has joined its firm. Colonel Faulkner delivers more than 30 years of experience as an Indo-Pacific subject matter expert, working in and advising on U.S. policies, capabilities, and strategies in defense innovation, security, technology, and Department of Defense (DoD) Indo-Pacific operations.

Prior to joining TSG, Colonel Faulkner served as a senior military officer and DoD Senior Executive (DISL) advising senior DoD officials on significant U.S. policies, capabilities, and strategies involving China and Asia, including the Pacific Defense Initiative, the USINDOPACOM Integrated Priority List, joint war plans, and counter-malign campaign plans. He has also advised on key DoD innovation and technology efforts, including programs in AI and machine learning, 5G, information superiority, energy, intelligence, space, cyber, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting.

Colonel Faulkner has served as Director and senior advisor for U.S. Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC), USPACOM, and key partner agencies, including the Joint Data Exploitation Center, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) programs, U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), the National Security Agency (NSA), and Special Operations maritime and unmanned vehicle programs. He is a professor at the Naval War College and serves as a senior advisor to Hawaii state, local, and Congressional delegations.
