Alexandria, Va. – March 17, 2025 – The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce that Mr. Roberto “Bob” Ruiz has joined its firm. Mr. Ruiz delivers expert support to clients in enterprise-wide workforce, recruitment, and career development domains, with significant expertise in disaster preparedness and emergency response, leveraging his 47-year U.S. military and federal career experience in emergency management, homeland security, and public health.

Prior to joining TSG, Mr. Ruiz served as the Senior Advisor to the Director of Human Capital Workforce Solutions at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where he developed and implemented workforce development and recruitment programs. Previously, he served as the CDC Deputy Director for Management and Operations, where he facilitated the CDC’s response to the Zika outbreak and Hurricane Maria recovery efforts. Mr. Ruiz is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified professional development coach with more than 800 hours of coaching experience. In addition to his work at TSG, he serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Georgia College of Public Health.

Earlier, Mr. Ruiz served a 23-year U.S. Coast Guard career, culminating in his serving as a Medical Warrant Officer and Senior Healthcare Policy and Publications Coordinator, a role in which he managed and led several large medical and dental clinic environments and developed aviation medical standards policy for pilots and crewmembers.
