PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Ms. Whittemore delivers exceptional expertise in Department of Defense (DoD) and private sector business domains, leveraging her deep experience gained from her 30-plus years of experience advising and leading programs within and across military services and for major defense contractors.

Prior to joining The SPECTRUM Group (TSG), Ms. Whittemore served as Managing Director at Grant Thornton Public Sector (now Guidehouse), supporting clients in Navy, Marine Corps, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) domains as a Senior Defense Advisor and Project Executive.

Ms. Whittemore served a 20-year Senior Executive Service (SES) career, retiring as Assistant Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources, U.S. Marine Corps, where she led program strategies and development of a $30B annual budget. Previously, she served as Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) for Fleet Readiness & Logistics, managing a $25B annual budget and serving as the Senior CNO Civilian Advisor and liaison to Navy, DoD, and Congressional stakeholders. In Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, Ms. Whittemore served as Deputy CNO, Fleet Readiness & Logistics (Acting). She represented the Navy at the Joint Staff, OSD, interagency, and Congressional levels, and led policy development and implementation, operational oversight, and program planning for $25B in programs annually.

Additionally, Ms. Whittemore has served as Special Assistant to numerous senior defense offices and leaders, including the Deputy Secretary of Defense; the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Manpower & Reserve Affairs; the Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel & Readiness; and the Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM). In addition to her work at TSG, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Marine Corps Association.
