General Rick “Tex” Brown supports defense and aerospace clients across a broad range of operations, technology and business development needs, drawing on his strong experience in program management, modeling and simulation (M&S), and information technology and management. He has worked extensively in helping clients develop and implement solutions for organizations throughout the Department of Defense (DoD).
Prior to joining The Spectrum Group, General Brown served as Senior Vice President and Deputy Manager, Defense Operations Integration Sector (DOIS) at Alion Science and Technology. There, he led operations and business development across programs including logistics, maintenance and supply support for the DoD; digital command system and training plans for the Army III Corps Battle Command Training Branch; and operation of the DoD Modeling and Simulation Information Analysis Center (MSIAC). General Brown also previously served as Vice President of Corporate Business Development, Air Force Programs at CACI International, and as COO and Executive Vice President of GAITS, Inc.
In his 34-year career in the United States Air Force, General Brown held a number of key leadership positions across diverse entities, including serving as Acting Assistant Vice Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel of the Air Force. He also served as Commander, Air Force Personnel Center; Vice Commander, Air Force Warrior Preparation Center; Director of Joint Matters; Deputy Chief of Staff for Air and Space Operations; and Director of Logistics, Pacific Air Forces. As a command pilot, he was highly decoraged for air combat achievements in Southeast Asia.
